I have tried the Runa tea chilled with no sugar . The smoothness has not been lost. I shall do  the next test with sugar and lemon juice .
It is indeed the new rival for honest tea.

Update Just a quick note, coming from the office of our technical coordinator in Archidona, Napo. I (Dan) have been here for two weeks, and I'm super amazed at how things are going so far. We have two technical teams off the ground moving full-speed ahead. We've already connected, in two weeks, with ~50 communities and ~ 500 guayusa trees. Furthermore, based on studies we've had done so far, we can harvest far more guayusa/tree than we imagined. In short, the news is good. In other news, it was my birthday yesterday; we went whitewater rafting and jumped off a bridge...
